My name is 陈刚(Mike) and I’m a startup co-founder and web/iOS developer. I live in Shanghai(UTC+8) with my wife, my son and Simba.

I like programming and geek stuff. I was a software engineer/consultant and worked in enterprise software/gaming entertainment global companies for many years. In nowadays, I prefer programming with Open Source technologies. I use Ruby/Python and develop web solutions with Rails. In my spare time, I learn iOS/object-c development by making lovely apps on my Mac. I believe in Simple is Beauty and hope oneday I can make famous products like Google or Apple does.

I had worked in North Europe for years and continuously help sovling deficiency of Chinese programmers. I founded CNProg in 2009 and delivered to OSQA project and other open source projects. Mobility and Internet are my focused area now and I’m ready to dedicate myself to this creative industry and curve my name on the entrepreneur rocks.

About this site

gchen.cn is my homepage which I started in 2008, after I abandoned my first personal site of chagel.com. My first blog started from 2004 and today we still get the luck to these archives in the meseum.

Current site is made with Jekyll and serving static HTML files only. I write posts in Markdown syntax with the best text editor Sublime Text 2 ever - which I recommend to every programmer in the world. I also put this project on Github.
